Staff Software Engineer

Summary

Join our team as a Staff Software Engineer and build cloud-native applications to enable end users to work more effectively. You will be responsible for architecting and developing solutions across multiple stacks, including APIs, edge computing, and orchestration. As a member of the Application Development team, you will have the opportunity to support customers spanning every industry and gain a breadth of skills and experience.

Requirements

• 10 years of relevant work experience in software development
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
• Strong capabilities in the design, development, and implementation of Java applications using the Spring Boot framework
• Additional expertise in development with two or more of the following languages: Python, Node.js, Go, Ruby
• Ability to architect, scope, and prioritize work based on feedback from the customer and internal teams
• Prior experience designing, building, and maintaining high-quality, developer-friendly REST APIs
• Exposure to full stack development, from setting up application and database server infrastructure to developing and implementing application code
• Highly capable when working with customers in a consultative capacity, including convincing them to utilize more optimal technologies and processes
• Deep understanding of relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience in writing automated tests, including unit, integration, and acceptance tests
• Familiarity with frontend web technologies, particularly React and Angular

Responsibilities

• Work on projects with applications in various stages of development
• Communicate with internal and customer engineers to gain consensus on API specifications and architectures
• Collaborate with solution architects, product managers, and UX/UI designers to define the requirements for high-quality user experiences
• Develop repeatable processes, solutions, and products that enable SADA and its customers to work more efficiently
