Join SentinelOne, a leading cybersecurity company, as a Staff (techlead-level) Test Automation Engineer. This pivotal role involves ensuring the quality and performance of our SaaS products, leading validation efforts, and defining test strategies. You will design, implement, and maintain automated tests for our Singularity SaaS platform, collaborating with development and product teams. The position requires strong technical skills in software automation, a versatile approach to process improvement, and a 'can-do' attitude. You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes. This role offers flexible hybrid work options in Prague, Brno, or remotely across CZ/SK.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance or validation engineering, with a strong focus on SaaS products
- Proven experience in leading validation efforts and defining comprehensive test strategies
- Expertise in developing and maintaining automated test frameworks in Python, TypeScript, Playwright (or similar, such as Java)
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
- Proven experience with AWS, Azure,or GCP, and with Docker, Kubernetes, plus event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, or GitLab
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with globally distributed teams
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and execution of comprehensive validation plans and test strategies for our Console and SaaS services
- Collaborate with product management, development, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective test cases
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks in Python (Pytest) and TypeScript (Playwright) to enhance testing efficiency and coverage
- Utilize Docker for containerization to create consistent testing environments
- Manage and execute tests in cloud environments, including AWS, GCP, and Azure
- Continuously enhance test strategies to improve coverage, efficiency, and effectiveness
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression and security testing
- Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes and methodologies
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in validation and quality assurance
- Participate in code reviews and design discussions to ensure testability and quality from the early stages of development
