Staff Software Engineer - Frontend

Summary

Join Andesite, a cybersecurity firm building products to enhance collaboration between humans and AI in threat defense, as a Staff Frontend Engineer. Lead the design and development of intuitive user interfaces, setting engineering best practices and mentoring junior engineers. Requirements

• Passion for delivering products that delight customers that use next generation AI technology
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of frontend development experience with modern UI frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or Svelte, with at least 4 years of that experience in React
• Experience developing responsive, scalable frontends and APIs leveraging expertise in data structures, algorithms, and software design
• Experience with cloud-based solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure) and familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Build and Innovate: Lead the design and development of sophisticated and intuitive user interfaces for our product. You'll translate complex user requirements into elegant and user-friendly frontend experiences
• Set the Bar for Engineering Excellence: As a senior technical leader, you'll establish best practices for frontend development, ensuring high-quality, performant, and reliable code. You'll advocate for modern frontend technologies and patterns
• Lead Design & Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to define and refine user experiences. You'll be a key voice in shaping the visual and interactive aspects of our data products, ensuring they are both powerful and delightful to use
• Mentor & Elevate the Team: Guide and mentor junior frontend engineers, helping them grow technically and professionally. You'll foster a culture of continuous learning and excellence within the team
• Cross-Functional Impact: Contribute to API and backend development as well as partner with team members developing those. Your understanding of both frontend and data systems will be crucial

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working in an early stage (Seed / Series A) startup
• Proficiency in backend / infrastructure development, especially in Python
• Proficiency developing robust developer APIs
