Summary

The job is for a Staff Engineer role in Affirm's Trust & Safety Platform team, responsible for implementing business-critical features, driving engineering initiatives, participating in technical leadership discussions, prototyping PoCs, and assisting with planning cycles. The position is remote-first, and the pay grade is CAN31.

Requirements

• 7+ YOE in backend product development
• 2+ YOE in frontend product development
• Experience designing new products in legacy systems
• Experience working in fraud fighting products
• Experience in building new internal products to increase productivity

Responsibilities

• Implement business critical features enabling new user experiences across the entire stack (mobile, web, backend)
• Drive major engineering initiatives with wide impact across many teams
• Participate in engineering technical leadership discussions, guiding the future for the team and organizations you are a part of
• Prototype PoCs and shape long term roadmap
• Assist with planning cycles, estimating work and setting milestones
