Summary

Join Ditto's Platform Engineering team as a Staff Software Engineer and contribute to the evolution of our cloud-native infrastructure. You will design and implement Kubernetes operators, architect scalable platform solutions on Azure, build CI/CD pipelines, and lead technical initiatives. This role requires 7+ years of software engineering experience with a platform/infrastructure focus, deep Azure and Kubernetes expertise, strong Go programming skills, and proven technical leadership. You will solve complex distributed systems challenges and mentor engineers. Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience with platform/infrastructure focus
  • Deep expertise in Azure cloud services and Kubernetes ecosystem
  • Strong Go programming skills and experience with operator development
  • Proven track record of technical leadership and system design
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep)
  • Strong collaboration skills and passion for enabling developer productivity
  • A proactive and curious attitude about how AI can support your role through automation, ideation, or more thoughtful decision-making

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Kubernetes operators using Go and operator frameworks
  • Architect scalable platform solutions on Azure (AKS, ARM, networking, security)
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tooling
  • Lead technical initiatives and mentor engineers across the organization
  • Solve complex distributed systems challenges and drive platform reliability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with service mesh technologies (cillium, Istio, Linkerd)
  • Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger)
  • Background in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures
  • Contributions to open-source Kubernetes projects or CNCF ecosystem
  • Experience with GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, Flux)
  • Familiarity with policy engines (Open Policy Agent, Gatekeeper)
  • Previous experience at high-growth technology companies
  • Understanding of FinOps and cloud cost optimization strategies
