Technical Lead, Backend Developer

Summary

Join HubSpot as a frontend focused Staff Software Engineer and contribute to the design, architecture, and implementation of their highly extensible developer platform. You will play a key role in shaping the product vision and technical direction. This role involves hands-on coding, delivering high-quality work, and becoming a subject matter expert on HubSpot's ecosystem. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will report to engineering leadership and partner in expanding the group's technical strategy. The ideal candidate has experience building developer-focused tooling, delivering high-impact projects, and a deep understanding of frontend architecture using technologies like React and Typescript. You will also need to be able to collaborate cross-functionally and provide strategic technical input.

• Have experience using or building great developer-focused tooling and services
• Have years of experience consistently delivering high-value, high-impact, cross-team projects
• Have a thirst for technical challenges that leverage technologies like React and Typescript, while exhibiting a deep fundamental understanding of frontend architecture and systems that comprise the foundations of browser-based experiences
• Carry a technical curiosity on advancements in AI technologies and stay up to date on industry trends
• Wish to stay hands-on in all technical aspects and effectively collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders

• Share knowledge and advise engineers in their areas of expertise

Preferred Qualifications

This role will primarily deal with frontend systems, although the ideal candidates can work effectively in both frontend and backend spaces

Benefits

• Cash compensation range: 227400 - 363800 USD Annually
• The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles
• In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs)
• Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay
