Requirements

  • Proven experience and expertise in writing about personal finance or related fields, with a strong portfolio of published work
  • Strong data acumen, including experience analyzing metrics and applying insights to improve performance
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with an ability to explain complex topics in an accessible, engaging way
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and content optimization strategies

Responsibilities

  • Write clear, engaging, and actionable articles on a variety of personal finance topics, including credit cards, banking, loans, budgeting, and financial planning
  • Write short-form editorial content, as well as long-form evergreen topic guides, reviews, and best-of lists
  • Conduct thorough research to ensure accuracy, credibility, and value for readers
  • Analyze content performance metrics (e.g., traffic, engagement, conversions) to inform future writing and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with editorial and SEO teams to optimize articles for search visibility and audience engagement
  • Use data-driven insights to align content strategy with business objectives, focusing on driving revenue and user growth
  • Stay updated on trends and news in the personal finance industry to produce timely, relevant content
  • Generate innovative content ideas based on market trends, audience needs, and data analysis
  • Leverage AI tools to assist in writing structure, velocity, and idea generation, ensuring efficiency and creative breakthroughs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Financial credentials such as CFP, CFA, etc preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, finance, economics, or a related field preferred
