Summary
Join SoundHound AI as a Student Software Engineer Werkstudent and contribute to the development of user-friendly VoiceAI products using C++. You will apply large language models, contribute to core systems and testing tools, design software tests, write code interacting with web APIs, collaborate with engineers, develop conversational AI, and implement and scale the core code base. The role involves working with cutting-edge technologies in NLP, NLU, NLG, speech, and search. Prior experience in these areas is not required, but coding experience in C++ and Python is preferred. The position offers a hybrid work model with options for remote work throughout Germany or in-office work in Berlin.
Requirements
- You have coding experience in C++ and Python; experience interacting with web APIs is a plus
- You are an avid user of LLM services like Perplexity, ChatGPT, etc. for various tasks
- You are knowledgeable in testing software products
- You are fluent in English; native-level in additional languages is a plus
- You are interested in learning while designing efficient architectures, algorithms, and interfaces
- You enjoy working on open-ended challenges and improving existing solutions
- Youβre comfortable working in a Linux environment
- You are a current student at a German University
Responsibilities
- Apply Large Language Models to improve VoiceAI behavior
- Contribute to the core system as well as to the testing tools
- Design and drive software testing and QA
- Write code that interacts with web APIs
- Collaborate with engineers working on a variety of languages
- Develop Conversational AI, leveraging a powerful domain-oriented development paradigm
- Implement and scale the core code base, solving both algorithmic and design challenges
- Work from a modern office at Potsdamer Platz or remotely from home
Preferred Qualifications
- You have some prior experience with prompt engineering
- You are well versed using Python and C++ to solve engineering challenges
