Summary

Hebrew Public is seeking a driven Substitute Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The position involves providing in-house substitute teaching coverage, co-teaching with teacher-leaders, supporting teachers, and participating in professional development. A Bachelor’s degree is required, Pennsylvania certification is preferred, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Elementary lead teaching experience in a classroom setting required

Responsibilities

• Provide in-house substitute teaching coverage for teachers
• Co-teach with teacher-leaders
• Support teachers with tutoring, grading, and individual or small group student instruction
• Full participation in summer and school-year professional development, as well as regular meetings with an instructional coach
• Strong desire to collaborate with other faculty and instructional leaders to discuss student work and ensure curricular coherence
