Summary

Join our team at Cedar to improve the U.S. healthcare system by leveraging data science and smart product design to make healthcare more affordable and accessible. As an Integration Support Engineer, you will be responsible for researching, troubleshooting, and building solutions to issues that arise with our clients (healthcare providers). This role is great for people interested in a technical support role with aspirations of growing as a software engineer, client strategist, or product manager.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a client-facing technical role (Software Developer/Engineer, Solutions Engineer, FDE)
  • Familiarity with data structures, relational databases, cloud infrastructure
  • Experience working with a database and SQL
  • Proficient in Python
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, comfort with ambiguity
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, the ability to persuade and influence others
  • Passionate about Cedar’s mission of improving the healthcare financial experience
  • Willingness to learn and grow through hands on experience and mentorship
  • Eligible to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Respond to and debug technical issues that arise from our client integrations
  • Ensure technical issues are resolved efficiently with quality solutions, whether through code or new operational processes
  • Deftly identify trends of issues and inefficiencies in current workflows and champion ways to eliminate this noise
  • Partner with and professionally communicate updates, resolutions, and timelines to internal and external commercial partners
  • Work autonomously and creatively in navigating and overcoming obstacles that you encounter
  • On-call expectations: Team members are expected to be on-call once every 4 weeks Monday through Friday, and once every 12 weeks Saturday and Sunday

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Django and/or Bash
  • Strong computer science fundamentals - a degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field or similar experience
  • Healthcare experience
