Requirements

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Environmental Science or a related field
• Technical knowledge of environmental management, sustainability practices, and carbon reduction

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the deployment of sustainability projects, across our Australian remote sites
• Monitor and assess project outcomes, generating reports on sustainability initiatives and identifying areas for improvement
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create impactful sustainability communications
• Inspire and train other employees to be sustainability ambassadors, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility
• Contribute to the development of energy and water audit frameworks, implementing corrective actions to minimise resource consumption
• Track and report on the environmental impact of Sodexo's operations, focusing on electricity use, carbon emissions, and water consumption
• Explore opportunities to reduce fleet emissions and support the transition to renewable energy sources
• Review and analyse sustainability data, ensuring transparency and accuracy
• Provide expert advice on environmental sustainability, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies
• Assist in developing sustainability policies, action plans, and carbon accounting frameworks to support Sodexo's decarbonisation roadmap
