Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in AC switchyard technology for HVDC or high-voltage switchgear systems (AIS/GIS)
  • Strong understanding of field control devices and configuration, with expertise in the SIPROTEC 5 series
  • Proficiency in DIGSI 5, CFC, and other relevant tools
  • Knowledge of high-voltage protection and control systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and precision

Responsibilities

  • Drive design-related topics from the early stages of hardware concept development to manufacturing, parametrization and testing of BCU-based switchgear
  • Develop and verify control systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality in high-voltage switchyard environments
  • Configure field control devices, including the SIPROTEC 5 series, using tools such as DIGSI 5 and CFC (Continuous Flow Chart)
  • Perform parametrization and testing to validate system integrity and performance
  • Apply extensive knowledge of HVDC technology and AC switchyard systems for high-voltage applications
  • Ensure compliance with technical standards and best practices in both AIS and GIS switchgear systems
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware design, manufacturing, and field engineers, to ensure project alignment and delivery
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with HVDC technology and advanced high-voltage switchgear systems
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements for high-voltage systems
  • Experience with testing, commissioning, or manufacturing of high-voltage switchgear
