Systems Engineer

Summary

The job is for an OS Systems Engineer to develop software and firmware systems for Sword Health's Research & Systems Team. The role involves contributing to the design of novel solutions, debugging hardware production systems, and communicating with clients. The candidate should have relevant experience in C/C++, Python, shell programming, embedded systems, Linux OS, and possess critical thinking skills, passion for unique system development, leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a drive to disrupt.

Requirements

• More than 3 years of experience with C/C++, Python, and shell programming languages
• Knowledge and experience in developing software/firmware for embedded systems
• Good knowledge of Linux OS
• Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
• Passion for developing novel and unique systems that have a direct impact in people’s lives
• Natural leadership, winning personality and a drive to disrupt
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate and test software and firmware systems
• Help in the definition of requirements and the development of internal software solutions to support production processes
• Contribute to the design of novel solutions that can be integrated into our products, including the prototyping of new modules
• Debugging and optimization of hardware production systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with sensor fusion/inertial sensing
• Experience with wireless technologies such as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), WiFi
• Experience with NRF52 SoC
• Experience with Zephyr RTOS
