Systems Technologist

Summary

The job is for a System Technologist at Evertz India to ensure the functionality, scalability, and security of systems through comprehensive testing methodologies and provide essential support to customers. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in technology or computer science, 1 year of experience in Python/Bash scripting, 1-2 years of experience as a System Engineer or similar role, 1 year of experience using Linux or Unix environments, Debian or Ubuntu, working knowledge of virtualization, and good understanding of networking.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in technology or computer science, Engineering or a related field
• 1 year of experience in Python/Bash scripting
• 1-2 years of experience as a System Engineer or similar role
• 1 year of experience using Linux or Unix environments, Debian or Ubuntu
• Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
• Good understanding and knowledge of Networking

Responsibilities

• System testing: Able to perform functionality/configuration/scalability/security testing of the system
• Provide Tier-2 support for customer issues, should collect necessary information from the customer support/Reporter, create relevant Jira tickets, tracking the tickets, finding root cause & follow ups

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge in cloud providers (AWS/AZURE/GCP)
• Knowledge in Database technologies (MySQL/NoSQL)
