Systems Technologist

Summary

Join our dynamic team as a skilled System Technologist! You will ensure the functionality, scalability, and security of our systems through comprehensive testing. You will also provide essential customer support, troubleshooting issues and ensuring timely resolution. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and experience in system engineering, scripting, and Linux environments. Knowledge of virtualization, networking, and cloud providers is beneficial. The position offers remote work and is located in Bangalore, India.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in technology or computer science, Engineering or a related field
• 1 year of experience in Python/Bash scripting
• 1-2 years of experience as a System Engineer or similar role
• 1 year of experience using Linux or Unix environments, Debian or Ubuntu
• Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
• Good understanding and knowledge of Networking

Responsibilities

• Perform functionality/configuration/scalability/security testing of the system
• Provide Tier-2 support for customer issues; collect necessary information from the customer support/Reporter, create relevant Jira tickets, track the tickets, find root cause & follow ups
• Identify and escalate issues that arise during the testing of the in-house system
• Find root cause/narrow down customer issues; if required, further escalate to the product team
• Maintain and utilize custom scripts and in-house tools for test automation of the system
• Create technical documentation for system upgrades and deployments; excel in documenting software upgrades/fixes
• Control system-level regression testing. Compare/Analyze pre & post-upgrade results of the system
• Support customer systems remotely. Support the upgrade process; be proficient in troubleshooting/rollback procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge in cloud providers (AWS/AZURE/GCP)
• Knowledge in Database technologies (MySQL/NoSQL)
