Tagger / Metadata Specialist

Summary

Harbor Global is hiring a Remote Tagger / Metadata Specialist for a short-term project with a world-renowned media/entertainment organization. The position requires reviewing, editing, and entering metadata for media assets, performing data quality control, researching information as needed, communicating effectively within the team, identifying problems, and escalating them when necessary.

Requirements

• Previous experience with media related metadata projects preferred
• Must be self-motivated and committed to meeting all deliverables quality and timeline requirements
• Computer proficient with good data entry and management skills as well as knowledge / familiarity with media content, terminology and workflows
• Prior media library experience and a familiarity with digital media asset tools, workflows, and technologies helpful
• Creative problem solver with excellent organizational, analytical and reporting skills
• Excellent communication and writing skills and capable of effectively communicating with client stakeholders, partners and project team members, etc

Responsibilities

• Use various media archive software tools as well as proprietary system(s) to review, edit and enter media asset metadata
• Perform consistent, accurate and complete data quality review to complex asset and media content metadata
• Research information in support of data entry tasks in order to confirm information (as needed) and also expand on the completeness of the data record
• Effectively communicate and work in a coordinated manner within a larger client project team to meet team project goals, manage expectations and provide feedback on progress / problems, etc. on specific assignments
• Identify problems and obstacles, escalate as needed and participate in problem resolution as needed
