Tax Accountant Assistant Tax Manager

Summary

The job is for a Tax Accountant/Assistant Tax Manager position that can be performed remotely from London, England. The role involves contributing to the global tax compliance, reporting, and advisory process of the company, managing corporate tax compliance for 45 countries, preparing various tax returns, and assisting with ad-hoc projects.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant and/or preferably Tax advisor (ACA/ACCA/CTA)
• 2+ years of post qualified experience ideally, however would also suit a first move into industry if newly qualified
• Experience in direct and indirect taxes on a UK and international perspective
• Highly computer literate - Advanced Excel skills; comfortable dealing with complex formulae
• Adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines (essential)
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with people at all levels both internally and externally
• High attention to detail
• A can-do attitude
• Driven and capable of driving process change and improvement

Responsibilities

• Key responsibility is the Group’s tax reporting and forecasting including working with auditors for year-end reporting
• Assist with management of Corporate Tax compliance process alongside the finance team for 45 Countries
• Assist in the preparation and review of VAT returns
• Assist in the preparation and review of employment tax/PAYE related submissions
• To manage and minimise the risk of tax issues
• Build relationships across all areas of the business
• Ad-hoc project work as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience of transfer pricing principles advantageous but not essential
• Some Payroll and Global mobility knowledge would be advantageous
