Remote Tax Associate

Summary

Join Exactera as a Senior Associate - R&D within the Professional Services team and contribute to identifying, calculating, and documenting R&D incentive claims. Utilize a bespoke technology platform to meet compliance needs and guide clients through implementation of the software.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance or other related/quantitative fields
• 2+ years of experience within R&D
• Ability to prioritize and drive progress on multiple projects
• Self-motivated and able to work in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong analytical and project management skills
• Analytically minded with a sharp eye for detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently to achieve results
• Ability to supervise and delegate tasks to outsourcing professionals
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

Responsibilities

• Lead technical interviews with subject matter experts, draft technical narratives, and utilize industry leading software to compute jurisdictional credits
• Communicate with clients via email and virtual meetings and assist PM to manage multiple projects at a time
• Apply tax code and regulations to various client situations and industries
• Oversee the work of Associates, provide mentorship and feedback, facilitate training of new associates
