Summary
Join WWC Global as a remote Corporate Tax Compliance Analyst II! This full-time position requires strong attention to detail and involves preparing and filing various state and local tax returns, assisting with federal and state income tax returns, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. You will conduct internal audits, provide guidance on tax regulations, and support the finance department. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with 3-4 years of relevant experience or 10+ years of progressive experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong knowledge of GAAP are essential. The salary range is $64,000-$87,000.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 3-4 years experience in tax accounting, compliance and reporting
- 10+ years of progressive experience supporting multiple legal entities tax compliance
- Knowledge and experience conducting tax research for federal, state, and local regulations
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight timeframes
- Able to work during EST core business hours, 10-3pm
- Proficient in MS Office Suite including Word, and PowerPoint
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including vlookups, sumif formulas, pivot tables, and related functions
- Professional proficiency in English is required
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation including fingerprinting
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file accurate and timely returns for a variety of state and local taxes: Sales Tax, Gross Receipts Tax, Franchise or Excise Tax, Property Tax
- Assist in the annual Partnership Federal Income Tax Return and related State Income Tax returns with our Tax CPA’s
- Review or assist in reconciling various payroll tax filings and ensure compliance is maintained by our Payroll Manager and UKG
- Assist in timely closing of financial periods per closing calendar
- Prepare and review monthly analysis and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts for accuracy and completeness in accordance with GAAP
- Support finance department with the execution of required activities
- Understand, adhere to, and execute company policies and procedures. Identify compliance risks and recommend solutions
- Understand differences between subsidiaries in company structure and ability to maintain general ledgers according to legal entity
- Ensure strong internal controls are in place, to achieve necessary internal and external objectives
- Performs general accounting duties including development of reports, schedules, and analysis of accounts
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related fields
- CPA, CMA and/or other financial certifications a plus
- Experience in accounting for a large multi-state company
- Experience in DoD industry accounting systems such as Jamis, Deltek, or similar project/cost-based systems
- Experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
- Located in the Pacific Northwest
