Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA required)
- 10+ years of progressive experience in tax compliance, financial operations, and strategic planning
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial matters clearly
- Adept at collaborating across functions and influencing key stakeholders
- Proficient in ERP tax systems and advanced Excel functions
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
- Comfortable operating independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic tax initiatives to optimize the organization’s tax position while ensuring full compliance
- Oversee all federal, state, and local tax filings; manage relationships with tax authorities and external advisors
- Lead tax audit preparation and response; provide guidance on non-recurring transactions and legislative changes
- Contribute to financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support broader financial objectives
- Establish and maintain tax and financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Advise senior leadership and stakeholders on tax implications and financial strategy
- Manage partnerships with auditors, consultants, and government entities
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in private equity-backed or investor-owned organizations is strongly preferred
- Background in both public accounting and in-house corporate tax environments is highly valued
