Summary

Join Climeworks as a Tax Specialist and support the preparation of tax statements, sales tax declarations, and other tax-related tasks. Assist in preparing data sets for corporate income tax returns, review tax returns, and provide direct and indirect tax input on drafting contractual terms and conditions.

Requirements

  • Have an HF diploma, Bachelor’s, or master's degree in business administration or economics
  • Have an understanding of different types of taxes (income tax, VAT, corporate tax, etc.) and their application
  • Have foundational knowledge in national and international tax law
  • Have familiarity with VAT principles, compliance, and reporting requirements, including cross-border transactions
  • Have a basic understanding of transfer pricing regulations, intercompany transactions, and documentation requirements
  • Be able to drive new topics independently, possess good analytical skills, and demonstrate an open and flexible manner
  • Be fluent in English (business language), with German being an advantage and other languages a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of all VAT, EU Intrastat, and recapitulative statements
  • Assist with sales tax and withholding tax declarations
  • Prepare data sets for corporate income tax returns prepared by external service providers
  • Review those tax returns prior to submission, along with any return-to-provision reconciliation
  • Prepare stamp duty filings and provide support for tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities
  • Procure tax residency certificates and file tax exemption declarations
  • Prepare calculations of tax payments and review final tax assessments
  • Provide direct and indirect tax input on drafting contractual terms and conditions, ensuring that vendor and sales invoice requirements are compliant
  • Keep up to date with direct and indirect tax compliance developments affecting all group entities
  • Support the preparation of the transfer pricing policy and assist Legal with drafting the corresponding intercompany agreements
  • Aid Supply Chain & Procurement in identifying and managing documentation as well as mitigating customs duties and risks
  • Provide a four-eye review of customs compliance processes
