Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant tax experience at a public accounting firm (preferably a Big 4, national, regional, or large local firm)
• Significant multi-state income tax compliance experience with both corporate and pass-through entities, as well as individual owners of multi-state pass-through entity interests
• Experience working with clients on state income & franchise tax matters including nexus and sourcing of revenues
• Ability to serve as a firm technical resource for multistate tax issues
• Ability to develop and enhance the firm’s state income & franchise tax specialty area
• CPA certification
• Excellent tax research skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced degree in taxation preferred

Responsibilities

• Utilize prior technical experience to help clients navigate their tax compliance requirements
• Play an instrumental role in the multistate consulting and planning process
• Adhere to workflow deadlines and proactively address multistate matters related to the client engagement
