Tax/Audit Intern

Summary

Join Aprio, a nationally ranked CPA and advisory firm, as an Audit/Tax intern for Spring 2026 (January-April) or Summer 2026 (June-August). This internship provides hands-on experience working with diverse clients, ranging from small to large businesses. You will gain valuable experience in tax planning, consulting, compliance services, and audit processes, including improving financial reporting and internal controls. The program includes a group project focused on social impact and networking events. Interns will work with energetic teams and develop a solid general foundation in accounting. Aprio offers internships in various U.S. office locations.

Requirements

• Accounting Major
• 3.0 or higher GPA
• Understanding and applying excel skills
• Demonstrating exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Working effectively and personably with clients and co-workers

Responsibilities

• Interact closely with clients to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services
• Work closely with partners on delivering innovative tax planning strategies
• Work and form relationships with middle to large-sized tax clients
• Work with businesses and industry leaders to avoid financial and business risks
• Improve financial reporting capabilities and internal controls
• Evaluate accounting issues and stay ahead of the curve with new accounting regulations
• Assess the quality of information used to make strategic business decisions
• Identify areas where companies can improve operating efficiencies
• Work and form relationships with middle to large-sized audit clients
