Team Lead-Developer

Summary

Join Wati, a rapidly growing CPaaS company, as a Team Lead - Developer! In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of engineers, design and implement complex integration systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and leverage AI technologies. You'll need a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, 5+ years of backend development experience (or 3+ with demonstrated leadership), and strong programming skills. Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science
• 5+ years of significant experience as a backend developer with strong ownership (3+ years experience may be sufficient if demonstrated leadership)
• Excellent programming experience with any language, like: C#, .NET Core, Java, Go/Golang and React.js
• Experience with Copilot / Cursor / other AI tools
• Professional in English and the communication skills to effortlessly collaborate with engineers located globally

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a team of engineers, fostering collaboration, professional growth, and a culture of excellence
• Design and implement complex systems with seamless integrations to third-party platforms, contributing to the expansion of WATI's ecosystem
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams —including product, design, QA, and other stakeholders—to discuss, decide, design, and deliver high-quality solutions
• Harness AI technologies to enhance team efficiency and streamline development processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a fast-paced startup would be an added advantage
• Experience in leading a small team / projects with results delivered
