Tech Lead, Python Backend

Summary

Join Encora as a Tech Lead Python Backend and leverage your expertise in computer science to solve complex technical problems. You will collaborate with the product team, develop new features for cloud systems, and participate in all phases of development. This role requires proven proficiency in Python web development, experience with cloud-based applications, and familiarity with various design patterns and frameworks. You will lead and mentor your team, driving innovation and high-quality delivery. The position is full-time and remote, based in Brazil.

Requirements

• Proven proficiency with Web development in Python
• Development of cloud-based large data applications (preferably in AWS)
• Design Patterns
• Experience with modeling, producing and consuming web services-based APIs (RESTful)
• Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL)
• Experience with at least one of these frameworks; Fast Api or Flask or Django
• Agile Development

Responsibilities

• Digest requirements from product team and work on solutions with performance and scalability features for cloud systems
• Develop new features
• Raise and discuss trade-offs of different design approaches by elaborating detailed design documents
• Participate in the complete cycle of development from requirements gathering, development, and testing
• Participate in technical discussions with customers
• Perform code reviews
• Drive team to innovate and deliver roadmap features with agility and high quality
• Conduct yourself as a trusted technical advisor
• Follow agile processes and participate actively in all development phases

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of or experience with agile development (e.g. using Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP, etc.)
• Knowledge of FastApi
• Knowledge of Poetry
• Knowledge of AWS infrastructure
• Knowledge of automated testing in Python (e.g. Unit Test, Integration Test, etc.)
• Familiarity with principles of distributed systems
• Experience designing High Availability/Scalable systems
• Knowledge of Ecommerce systems, specifically on it’s data modeling
