Requirements
- Hold a Bachelorβs degree in accounting and a CPA
- Have 3+ years of experience with complex accounting including SEC reporting and U.S. GAAP
- Be a confident communicator with the level of maturity and presence necessary to influence senior executives and business leaders
- Thrive on driving innovation and change that will propel the business forward
- Consistently practice strategic thinking and nimble problem-solving tactics to stay ahead of business priorities
Responsibilities
- Monitor and research new accounting standards, summarize and communicate impacts to executives and the Audit Committee, and lead process changes where necessary to respond to new requirements
- Analyze and understand complex transactions, apply complex accounting standards to those transactions, develop solutions to problems and effectively communicate the results to stakeholders
- Review and monitor corporate accounting policies and work with various stakeholders to implement revisions when necessary to adapt to changes in the business, organization, or accounting standards to ensure that policies remain effective, efficient, and compliant with U.S. GAAP
- Collaborate effectively with internal clients, including General Accounting, Corporate FP&A, Manufacturing Operations, IT, Treasury, Corporate Development, Legal, Internal Audit, Real Estate Operations, and Shared Services
- Manage periodic review and assessments for complex accounting areas including impairment assessments, restructuring, equity investments, consolidation, joint ventures, and lease accounting
- Prepare financial statements and disclosures for complex accounting areas
- Liaise with external auditors and company stakeholders to manage effective and efficient audit execution
Preferred Qualifications
Have prior experience working in Public Accounting (Big 4)
