You will analyze risks, implement process improvements, and collaborate with multiple teams to minimize risk and ensure efficient operations. This role involves analyzing new product features, developing guidelines, interacting with certification labs, and supporting release management. You'll also help build a strong team culture. The ideal candidate possesses experience in regulatory requirements, gaming compliance, and external audits, along with strong communication and risk assessment skills. Underdog offers competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $100,000-$125,000 plus equity, along with benefits such as unlimited PTO, parental leave, a home office allowance, and comprehensive health insurance.
Requirements
- Have experience evaluating and interpreting regulatory requirements, effectively relating them to technical solutions and implementation flows
- Have some gaming or sports betting experience and are passionate about the industry
- Have experience with supporting and driving external audits and reporting
- Have knowledge of the software development life cycle and release/change management process
- Have experience collaborating with and building strong partnerships with the software development team and IT teams
- Be good at analyzing and assessing risk within software platform implementation, identifying concerns or weak areas in regards to compliance, integrity and security
- Be a good communicator and advisor that is striving to promote visibility internally and externally
- Not be afraid to try new approaches and work on unfamiliar areas
- Be motivated, curious and possess good self-management skills
Responsibilities
- Lead and support various audits related to gaming compliance requirements
- Analyze risk and impact to regulatory standards in respect to our systems, implementations, processes and third party integrations
- Identify and implement business process improvements by collaborating with various teams
- Minimize risk while enabling efficient business operations
- Analyze new product features and functionalities that the technical team is planning to implement, then provide feedback related to regulatory requirements for targeted markets
- Lead the development of comprehensive guidelines and resource libraries
- Interact with certification labs to present our current technology flows and planned implementations
- Help drive and support our release and change management management process
- Collaborate with the technical team to define and implement automation strategies for release notes and change management needs
- Improve processes and procedures while considering long-term goals and gearing towards future flexibility
- Help build a team with strong inclusive culture and creative mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Have experience with sports betting regulations
- Have experience in new market expansion
- Have experience in high growth companies
- Have knowledge of IT security compliance and frameworks (PCI-DSS Compliance, SOC 2, ISO 27001)
