Summary

The job is for a Tech Lead in Blockchain.com's Singapore office, responsible for leading the engineering team, developing innovative software solutions, and managing complex projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience with Agile methodologies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading and managing a team of engineers, including both SREs and developers
  • Strong technical expertise in SRE principles and practices, with experience in infrastructure management, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), CI/CD, DB (preferably MySQL and/or PostgreSql) and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Strong python hands-on experience with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
  • Prior leadership, management, and coaching skills through experience as an engineering manager. This should include experience building and leading productive, high functioning teams
  • Built, shipped, and scaled consumer facing, software products with at least two successful product launches to speak of
  • Active participation in a team’s career development, having managed engineers and manager’s performance with proper mentorship and coaching
  • The highest of standards regarding security practices and a desire to mentor your team on keeping our user base safe
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies and short release cycles

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the Singapore engineering team of SREs and developers that delivers the user experience for our Institutional platform
  • Develop innovative software solutions for our global cryptocurrencies institutional businesses and operations
  • Act as a bridge to the UK engineering team, fostering communication, collaboration across locations and continuous improvement
  • Support the design and development processes, and building high-performance solutions based on our company standards and general best practices
  • Scale and up-skill the engineering team
  • Accelerate delivery and increase quality by making smart infrastructure and process investments and tradeoffs
  • Work across the organization with product, engineering, trading and middle office teams to deliver the institutional product roadmap and guide decisions on architecture, system design, and technical strategy
  • Provide hands-on SRE support when needed, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues
