Requirements

  • Degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, software engineering, data science, or a related field
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Some experience conducting scientific research related to AI and machine learning, particularly in LLMs, preferred
  • Passion for addressing societal impacts of AI and promoting transparency and accountability in AI technologies
  • Publication record in journals or coding recording on GitHub required

Responsibilities

  • Initiative in generating and adapting research ideas and the application of technical research concepts across domains
  • Conduct applied technical research on LLMs, focused on model testing and auditing to advance AI safety research into AI commercialization risks
  • Publish original research in academic journals and working papers
  • Work closely with other researchers, including project directors, to align on research objectives. Work with a technical research lead on LLM models
  • Engage with external partners from academia, industry, government, and the nonprofit sector to enhance the project's impact

Benefits
