Summary

Join EXPANSIA, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business, as a Technical Product Owner (TPO) and guide technical projects to successful delivery. You will serve as the bridge between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring the product vision translates into actionable deliverables. This remote, full-time position requires collaboration across teams to manage the product lifecycle and support business growth through proposal efforts. The TPO will be part of the Core Shared Services team supporting the AGORA software project, providing product ownership for a team of site reliability engineers. The salary range is $95,400-$140,000.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in related field with 5-7 years of experience, or a Master's degree in a related field with 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • 1+ year of dedicated Product Owner experience and 3+ years of previous hands-on technical experience in a cloud environment
  • Demonstrated ability to define, prioritize, and manage product roadmaps and backlogs effectively
  • Strong experience in Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making
  • Proficiency in tools like Agility, Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms for backlog and product management
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with experience presenting to diverse audiences
  • Familiarity with managing cross-functional teams and working with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven track record of driving product success in cloud-based or hybrid IT environments

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize product roadmaps, features, and backlog items based on customer needs, business value, and technical feasibility
  • Translate/decompose high-level business requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications
  • Act as the primary point of contact between stakeholders and technical teams, communicating priorities, expectations, and product vision
  • Ensure timely and effective delivery of product features through iterative development, managing scope and constraints
  • Develop and maintain product documentation, including roadmaps, work plans, schedules, and resource requirements
  • Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, and regular product reviews to align teams with business goals
  • Supervise and guide cross-functional project teams, ensuring quality deliverables and adherence to timelines
  • Track and analyze product performance metrics post-release, using data to inform iterative improvements and product decisions
  • Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to the team, identifying risks and recommending solutions
  • Collaborate with business development teams to support proposal efforts and articulate the product vision for potential growth opportunities
  • Drive alignment on operational strategies that enhance product scalability, performance, and customer satisfaction
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and customer satisfaction by meeting or exceeding deliverables
  • Ensure 100% of planned hours are worked and recorded
  • Completes personal PDP and attend Staff Meeting and Storytime (with camera on)
  • Within your program, build productive and positive professional relationships with clients
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in government contracting environments, with knowledge of compliance requirements (e.g., DoD STIGs, NIST 800.53)
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMI-ACP, or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager
  • Advanced understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and modern software development processes
