Technical Program Manager, API Release Management

Summary

Join Stripe's Developer Platform team as a Technical Program Manager and play a crucial role in enhancing developer experiences. Lead and execute cross-functional programs across engineering divisions, managing technically demanding programs and collaborating with various teams to improve operational efficiency. Develop and refine program management frameworks and metrics, establish and report on program health, and standardize documentation and communication processes. Leverage data for strategic decision-making and reporting at the leadership level. This proactive and independent role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and high-level leadership to achieve strategic objectives. Success requires a deep understanding of external Developer APIs, API Docs, and SDKs, and the ability to effectively engage with colleagues in partner teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software/systems engineering or technical product/program management
• Experience in improving developer experience
• You are technical and may have worked as a product manager or influenced process/program/product changes broadly at a company level
• Proven track record in comprehensive program management across software development phases
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at building strong relationships
• Proficient in driving process improvements across diverse teams and functions
• Autonomous leader experienced in managing large-scale efforts and global stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in large-scale platforms and organizations
• Demonstrated experience in leading global initiatives, building APIs, products, and scalable systems
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or a related field
