Summary

Join Mine Vision Systems (MVS), a fast-growing startup, as a Technical Services Geologist / Customer Support specialist! This remote position, based in the Abitibi region or neighboring areas, involves 50% travel domestically and internationally. You will train customers, provide technical support, and consult on our innovative FaceCapture™ Mapping System. You'll work closely with sales and build strong customer relationships, ensuring successful system implementation and ongoing support. This role requires strong geological knowledge, excellent communication skills (English and Spanish), and the ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment. Requirements

  • Possess confident, positive customer service approach
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to learn new concepts quickly
  • Demonstrate understanding of underground face mapping concepts
  • Possess excellent written, speaking, and reading comprehension skills in both English and Spanish
  • Ability to work within a team environment and possess excellent communication skills
  • Ability to deal with multiple, competing demands and prioritize appropriately
  • Ability to speak in public and provide presentations before an audience
  • Frequent sitting, standing, typing, use of hands, travel on airplanes, and working in underground mines
  • Possess a valid driver's license and passport
  • Occasional: bending, reaching, confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Provide training, technical support, and consulting services to customers, including: Train customers who have a diverse set of technical and mining industry backgrounds
  • Ensure the customer feels that their experience is positive and productive
  • Solve, properly document, and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Communicate confidently and effectively with customers, creating excitement for adoption of MVS technologies
  • Gather customer feedback at mine site and through remote touchpoints
  • Work in a safe and professional manner
  • Support the sales and commercial teams to create a compelling case for each new customer to purchase MVS technology, and then expand usage over time
  • Test and familiarize yourself with new versions of products when required
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of training materials
  • Encourage an environment of collaboration by engaging in teamwork and building relationships across departments
  • Respond to and courteously accept unexpected requests on behalf of management and other staff whenever possible
  • Mentor and train new staff, fellow technical services employees, and software developers in mining applications
  • Travel up to 50% both nationally and internationally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Geology
  • Prior experience in underground production geology
  • Experience with geologic modeling software or other 3D modeling software
