Join our Customer Care team as a Senior Technical Specialist and help drive the implementation of world-class supply chain management solutions!

Requirements

  • University, Cegep/College or technical degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or Commerce with focus on Business Technology Management or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing, IT related technical consulting environment such as technical support or related area
  • Technical aptitude including experience with Unix/Linux, Java, & SQL
  • SQL and its Server Management Studio, server performance analysis, database maintenance and backup
  • Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel), Teams and Sharepoint
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows server, operating systems, and administration and maintenance of
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues that are technical in nature and provide resolutions
  • Strong sense of organization, self-motivation, and professionalism
  • Self-starter: ability to research and work independently
  • Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec

Responsibilities

  • Installation of applications and moving of installs during hardware upgrades
  • Maintenance of documentation and monitoring of backups
  • Migration of PointForce Enterprise to new servers
  • Providing IT technical support when necessary
  • Maintenance of streamline e-commerce installs in AWS and of Remote Desktop Manager
  • Upgrading licenses and providing sales and administrative support for PVX Plus and iTopia
  • Working closely with the other members of the technical and professional services teams
  • Build rapport with customers, guiding them in their integration of the Tecsys software
  • Administer and maintain connectivity software to enable VPN connectivity to customers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working experience with Virtualization Software and Various Communication Packages such as: Hyper-V, VMware, OracleBox and Cleo Lexicom, Putty, Telnet, SSH, FTP/SFTP Client/Server
  • Knowledge and experience working with the PVX Plus Programming Language
  • Knowledge of Asigra Cloud Backup Solution
  • Knowledge of InstallShield, and Cloud Services (AWS, Azure)
