Summary
Join IDEMIA National Security Solutions (NSS) as a Technical Support Engineer, providing IT support at customer locations. This role involves up to 75% travel to DoD installations for equipment installations and maintenance, requiring interaction with key stakeholders and troubleshooting within a secure network. The ideal candidate will reside near a major airport due to travel demands and possess a US Government Common Access Card (CAC Card). You will work closely with various teams, acting as the primary liaison with DoD customers for virtual desktop or local hardware support. Onsite troubleshooting and routine maintenance will be required, along with participation in enrollment events. Requirements
- General Linux experience
- Ability to obtain an active Secret Security Clearance
- Common Access Card holder
- Ability to access a U.S. DoD installation with Common Access Card
- Knowledge of DoD base access
- Ability to travel to designated locations for installation access
- Fluent in English, additional regional languages a plus
Responsibilities
- Travel to and obtain access to IDEMIA NSS product installations at U.S. Navy, U.S. U.S. Army, Marine Corps, or other DoD NSS customer sites
- Obtain product installation access via a controlled computer with a virtual desktop
- Connect to local hardware for system administration
- Work closely with remote teams to communicate and log errors
- Conduct onsite troubleshooting and/or routine maintenance as required
- Perform Tier 1 equipment troubleshooting
- Under the direction of the Program Director and Product Manager assist with organizing, directing, and managing enrollment events at DoD installations
- Enrolling approved DoD personnel by using an iPad tablet and NSS software to capture various individual data
- Maintain initial and annual security compliance training including online annual DoD and U.S. government classes such as Cyber Awareness

- PostgreSQL experience
- Familiarity with Enterprise Ashore Enclave (EAE), formally PSNET and Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field is desired

- Must possess strong problem-solving skills and proven ability to communicate issues and solutions in simplified manner
- Must be proactive to identify and anticipate client (end user customers/system integrators) needs and make recommendations for implementation
