Summary

Join IDT as a Technical Support Engineer and proactively monitor and resolve production alerts across IDT’s Global network. You will monitor networks, applications, and services; respond to and resolve alerts according to procedures; track issues in a ticketing system; and escalate issues to the appropriate team. Proficiency in using tools like Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, Zabbix, Jira, and Slack is expected. The position offers remote work, B2B employment, excellent hardware, growth opportunities, and compensation for professional training. The schedule is 5/2, Sunday-Thursday, 11 PM - 7:30 AM ET.

Requirements

  • Excellent monitoring/troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux OS, Networks
  • Working knowledge of issues/ ticket track system
  • Good level of English – B2 or higher

Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor all production networks, applications, and services
  • Respond to & resolve alerts/alarms according to standard operating procedures
  • Track all issues in a ticketing system
  • Escalate alerts/issues to the appropriate Support team and work with Support team towards a timely resolution
  • Work with the following tools: Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, Zabbix, Jira, Slack , etc

Preferred Qualifications

  • New Relic (or Datadog or SolarWinds)
  • Splunk or other data log management tools like DynaTrace/Loggly/SumoLogic
  • Linux/Unix - basic knowledge
  • Networking (basic understanding of BGP, MPLS, OSPF protocols)
