Summary
Join IDT as a Technical Support Engineer and proactively monitor and resolve production alerts within our global network. You will monitor networks, applications, and services, respond to and resolve alerts, track issues in a ticketing system, and escalate issues to the appropriate support team. This role requires excellent monitoring and troubleshooting skills, knowledge of Windows and Linux OS, networks, and ticketing systems, and strong English proficiency. Requirements
- Excellent monitoring/troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux OS, Networks
- Working knowledge of issues/ ticket track system
- Good level of English β B2 or higher
Responsibilities
- Proactively monitor all production networks, applications, and services
- Respond to & resolve alerts/alarms according to standard operating procedures
- Track all issues in a ticketing system
- Escalate alerts/issues to the appropriate Support team and work with Support team towards a timely resolution
- Work with the following tools: Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, Zabbix, Jira, Slack , etc
Preferred Qualifications
- New Relic (or Datadog or SolarWinds)
- Splunk or other data log management tools like DynaTrace/Loggly/SumoLogic
- Linux/Unix - basic knowledge
- Networking (basic understanding of BGP, MPLS, OSPF protocols)
