Requirements
- Microsoft Word: You know your way around Word like it’s second nature
- Online Help Systems: Got experience with tools like RoboHelp, MadCap Flare, or similar? Perfect!
- Graphics Design: Whether it’s Adobe or another graphics software, you’ve got the skills to make visuals shine
- Business Know-How: You understand the basic functions that keep a business running smoothly
- Clear, Concise Documentation: You can turn complex concepts into easy-to-understand, user-friendly guides
- Communication Superpowers: Strong verbal and written skills that get the message across with ease
- Time Management: You’re a pro at juggling tasks and meeting deadlines
- Professionalism: You show up, take responsibility, and can always be counted on
- Email Savvy: Whether it’s Outlook or any other tool, you manage your inbox like a champ
- Microsoft OS Expertise: You’re comfortable navigating and troubleshooting within the Microsoft environment
- Team Player: You work well with others, contribute to group success, and follow through on management’s directives
Responsibilities
- Craft User Manuals: Create clear, concise guides that help users understand how to use our products, complete processes, and navigate system logic
- Document Product Enhancements: Write detailed release notes and implementation steps for new features and improvements
- Master Special Functions & Calendar Processes: Develop documentation for unique features, including calendar-related functions, to help users make the most of every tool
- Collaborate with Development: Work closely with the Development team to review product features and ensure documentation is spot-on before launch
- Pre-Release Documentation: Draft preliminary documentation for upcoming product enhancements, so everything is ready for the big release!
- Support Quality Assurance: Provide the QA team with the right documentation to ensure thorough testing and smooth product releases
- Assist Support with Knowledge Base: Help the Support team by creating helpful knowledge-base articles that empower users to troubleshoot on their own
- Update & Refine Docs: Review and revise documentation as needed to keep it accurate, clear, and up to date
- Maintain Website Content: Regularly check our website for proper documentation, making sure it’s current and accessible to all
- Stay Informed: Keep a solid understanding of our products and modules so your documentation is always on point
- Be a Team Player: Work professionally and collaboratively with everyone—because great things happen when we all pull together!
- Get Things Done: Roll up your sleeves, and do what it takes to make sure projects are completed on time and to perfection
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or 3 years of experience in technical writing, support, or development
- Experience in EdTEch
