Tele Bogger Operator

Summary

Join OceanaGold as a Tele Remote Bogger Operator and contribute to the safe and efficient operation of the LHD, reporting to the Supervisor-Mining. This role requires daily safety checks, following directions, and operating heavy equipment.

Requirements

• Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Values and the OceanaGold Way
• At least a High School Graduate or Trade Certificate
• A minimum of 1 year experience in remote bogging operations
• Work well without supervision and demonstrate initiative
• Underground experience is essential
• Holding various certificates and licences which may include Haul Truck, ITC, Telehandler, Manitou, Scissor Lift, Grader, Offsiding, Service Crew, Manual handling, and Bogger
• With a valid Professional Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Perform daily safety checks of equipment
• Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area
• Responsible in erecting beacon lights, signage and barricade prior to bogging
• Responsible in identifying and correcting hazard prior to bogging
• Operate other heavy equipment and other related duties as required if permitted/trained
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of any equipment
• Maintaining roads/tram, stockpiles and loading areas
• Report any defects and respond to equipment critical alarms during remote bogging
