Summary

Join OmniOn Power as a Telecommunications Installer DC (Level III) and work remotely with overnight travel to customer sites. This role involves adding or removing wiring and connections on DC power equipment, managing inventory, writing procedures, and ensuring safety. You will lead small to medium-sized service projects, complete installations on time, and assist senior technicians. The position requires experience in telecom DC power equipment installation, cable handling, and strong customer service skills. The ideal candidate will also possess AC electrical experience and proficiency in various software tools.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Three years of experience in Telecom DC power equipment installation
  • Two years of experience in pulling & sewing cable , construction of cable racking, bay mounting
  • Valid driver's license
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook / Excel / Word
  • Ability and willingness to travel 100% of the time
  • Ability and willingness to work varying shifts (swing shifts)
  • Ability to lift at least 40 lbs
  • Ability to operate motorized lift equipment to maneuver, install or remove 80-750 lb. batteries
  • Frequently pushing or pulling of cables up to 60 lbs
  • Frequently climbing ladders up to 8 ft
  • Frequently working/standing on ladders for long periods of time
  • Continuous standing
  • Frequently reaching above, below or at shoulder level
  • Frequently bending, twisting, or stooping
  • Frequently crouching or squatting
  • Be exposed to varying environments with moderate noise levels, nominal variations in heat and cold

Responsibilities

  • Lead small to medium sized service projects
  • On-time completion and quality of the installation project
  • Responsible for inventory and staging of equipment and materials, weekly status report to supervisor, reading and interpreting specifications and drawings
  • Assist Level IV Technician on lead verification (voltage)
  • Add or remove DC power systems, batteries, and add or remove common systems equipment hardware
  • Support installation, commissioning of wireless, datacenter, and electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment
  • Comply with all EHS and regulatory guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Prior field engineering experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • AC Electrical Experience
  • Proficient in using computer-based management and administrative tools, including Microsoft Office, Salesforce (SFDC), and Workfront
