Summary

Join OmniOn Power as a Telecommunications Installer, a 100% remote role with overnight travel to customer sites in the Southeast region. You will be responsible for leading small to medium-sized service projects, ensuring on-time completion and quality of installations. This role involves managing inventory, reading specifications, and assisting with lead verification. You will also be responsible for adding or removing DC power systems, batteries, and common systems equipment hardware, as well as supporting the installation and commissioning of wireless, datacenter, and electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment. This position requires strong customer service skills, prior field engineering experience, and excellent communication abilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Three years of experience in Telecom DC power equipment installation
  • Two years of experience in pulling & sewing cable, construction of cable racking, bay mounting
  • Valid driver's license
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook / Excel / Word
  • Ability and willingness to travel 100% of the time
  • Ability and willingness to work varying shifts (swing shifts)
  • Ability to lift at least 40 lbs
  • Ability to operate motorized lift equipment to maneuver, install or remove 80-750 lb. batteries
  • Frequently pushing or pulling of cables up to 60 lbs
  • Frequently climbing ladders up to 8 ft
  • Frequently working/standing on ladders for long periods of time
  • Continuous standing
  • Frequently reaching above, below or at shoulder level
  • Frequently bending, twisting, or stooping
  • Frequently crouching or squatting
  • Be exposed to varying environments with moderate noise levels, nominal variations in heat and cold

Responsibilities

  • Lead small to medium sized service projects
  • On-time completion and quality of the installation project
  • Responsible for inventory and staging of equipment and materials, weekly status report to supervisor, reading and interpreting specifications and drawings
  • Assist Level IV Technician on lead verification (voltage)
  • Add or remove DC power systems, batteries, and add or remove common systems equipment hardware
  • Support installation, commissioning of wireless, datacenter, and electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment
  • Comply with all EHS and regulatory guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Prior field engineering experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • AC Electrical Experience
