Summary

Join a fast growing start up changing the real estate investing industry! Backflip is seeking a Territory Sales Representative to drive market awareness, community engagement, and revenue growth in a dedicated geographic area.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in territory sales, sales development, or similar roles, with a strong focus on lead generation and growing a customer base
  • 2+ years of experience in community development, networking, or event management. Ability to build rapport and trust quickly with diverse audiences
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to represent Backflip in public forums and build relationships
  • Ability to work closely with Account Executives, the Community Team and other internal teams to align efforts and drive results
  • Highly motivated and proactive, able to work independently to drive community-based initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Act as the local face of Backflip in the community, representing the brand at events, meetups, and other gatherings to build strong, lasting relationships with prospects and partners
  • Host and attend local events, ranging from 1-on-1 coffee meetings to driving attendance at large community-hosted gatherings (in partnership with our community team), generating brand awareness and new high quality leads
  • Identify and engage with prospective customers and partners in the local market through outreach efforts (social media, email, community engagement, etc.), working closely with AEs to generate new opportunities
  • Build and maintain a network of community 'nodes' (influencers, community leaders, referral sources, etc.) to help grow Backflip's local presence and drive engagement with the brand
  • Identify and foster relationships with local organizations, event hosts, and influencers to develop partnerships that can help Backflip expand its reach in the market
  • Focus on driving measurable results such as increasing new loan applications in the geo, deal closures, growing contact lists, increasing event attendance, etc
  • Create and test personalized follow-up strategies for leads met in person at events, ensuring consistent touchpoints through calls, emails, and texts to drive loan applications from those who didn’t apply right away
  • Travel to larger conferences and industry events up to twice per quarter, representing Backflip and building connections with key prospects and partners

Benefits

  • Base salary of $80,000
  • Annual expected commissions of $50,000
