As a Manual Tester, you will ensure high-quality and stable platform releases through thorough end-to-end testing, focusing on validating integration between features. You will conduct manual testing, execute test scripts, collaborate with Product and Engineering teams, monitor production issues, and support the transition to automated testing. The role requires expertise in manual testing, understanding of platform integration, and basic technical acumen. Requirements

  • Manual Testing Expertise – Skilled in creating and executing structured E2E test cases
  • Understanding of Platform Integration – Ability to test across interconnected systems/features
  • Basic Technical Acumen – Able to understand APIs, databases, and system architecture at a conceptual level
  • Automation Awareness – Comfortable working alongside engineers to support test automation; familiarity with automation tools is a plus (e.g., Cypress, Playwrite)
  • Bug Reporting & Test Management Tools – Proficient in tools like JIRA
  • Attention to Detail – Ability to identify edge cases, inconsistencies, and non-obvious errors
  • Collaborative Mindset – Works effectively with Product Managers and Engineers to clarify requirements and raise issues early
  • Problem Solving – Diagnoses root causes of test failures and proposes viable solutions
  • Communication – Clearly articulates test results, risks, and blockers in a timely and constructive manner
  • Accountability – Takes ownership of quality and proactively seeks continuous improvement opportunities

Responsibilities

  • Conduct manual end-to-end testing of new and existing features to ensure platform quality and integration stability across workflows
  • Execute and maintain detailed test scripts and scenarios to validate functionality before each release
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to identify and report defects, ensuring critical bugs are caught before release
  • Monitor and help reduce the number of issues found in production by identifying root causes
  • Work in sync with the release cycle to support a consistent and reliable release cadence, to release at least once per fortnight, and progress to weekly releases
  • Track and optimise time spent on E2E testing by refining scripts, improving pre-release readiness, and leveraging team input
  • Support the transition toward automated testing by contributing with user journeys and liaising with the tech team to fix bugs in the current scripts
