Summary
Join Simpplr as a Test Engineer (Automation) and contribute to the performance, reliability, and quality of our innovative intranet platform. You will design, implement, and maintain automation test scripts, optimize testing mechanisms, and continuously improve our automation framework. Working in Gurugram, you'll collaborate with a talented team focused on building a world-class application. This role requires 3-5 years of software testing experience, including at least 2 years in automation testing, and proficiency in Playwright and TypeScript. Simpplr offers a great working environment and a flexible Hub-Hybrid-Remote work model.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of industrial experience in software testing
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in automation testing
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies
- Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies
- Strong proficiency in test automation using Playwright
- Strong proficiency in writing TypeScript (or JavaScript and open to learn TypeScript)
- Experience with Cucumber BDD and writing Gherkin scenarios
- Should be capable of manually testing the application and writing manual test cases in BDD (Gherkin) format
- Experience using Jenkins/Github workflow Pipeline for CI/CD
- Good knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or JMeter
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Hands-on experience of JIRA & Zephyr
Responsibilities
- Design, implementation, maintenance and improvement of automation test scripts and automation framework
- Understand, apply and optimize appropriate test mechanisms (functional, regression.smoke.) and tools to improve the verification efficiency through automation
- Continuously improve the automation framework, tools, and processes
- Prioritize and manage workload in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines
- Providing feedback on release readiness
- Participation in requirement analysis and walkthrough
Preferred Qualifications
Good knowledge of test frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG is a plus
