Test Engineering Internship

Summary

Rocket Lab is a global leader in launch and space systems. As a Test Engineering Intern, you will support the Avionics Test Team in performing environmental qualification testing on avionics units at their Long Beach site. You will work closely with your mentor and other employees, attend frequent 1:1's, and enjoy tech talks and social events. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a bachelor’s, master's or doctorate degree program in an engineering or physics discipline, have at least one semester of school remaining post internship, and have a GPA of 3.0 or above. Additional qualifications include previous engineering experience and knowledge of electrical circuits, benchtop test equipment, and Python.

Requirements

• Ideal candidates are enrolled in a bachelor’s, master's or doctorate degree program in an engineering or physics discipline
• Have at least one semester of school remaining post internship
• Have a GPA of 3.0 or above
• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master's or doctorate degree program in an engineering or physics discipline and have at least one semester of school remaining post internship

Responsibilities

Support the Space Systems Avionics Test Team in performing environmental qualification testing on avionics units

Preferred Qualifications

• GPA of 3.5 or above
• 6+ months of applied engineering experience
