Summary

Join Eurofins Food Assurance as an Auditor to review audit scheme requirements, oversee witness audits, and provide microbiology expertise. Requirements

• BA or BS degree in food related or bioscience discipline
• Primary production experience or post-farm gate auditing experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in food manufacturing
• Completed a recognized HACCP Training with certificate issued (16 hours, 2 days)
• Passed a recognized Lead Auditor Training (40 hours, 5 days)
• Registered BRC, FSSC 22000, SQF, GFCP, or FAMI-QS Auditor
• Registered accredited auditor in more than one scheme
• Strong interpersonal skills that allow for moving comfortably in a business environment and to interface with all levels of customer and staff
• Detail oriented with documentation

• Comfortable planning and executing travel schedules
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent technical writing ability

Responsibilities

• Review audit scheme requirements and provide assistance in meeting those requirements
• Oversee witness audits and provide technical expertise for microbiology
• Assist in keeping the documentation up to date and provide advice and input into audit disputes
• Accreditation/qualification, knowledge, and understanding of federal and state laws as they pertain to food safety and various schemes’ requirements including, but not limited to, BRC, GFCP, FSSC 22000, SQF, and FAMI-QS
• Conduct and implement all components of the audit process including but not limited to scheduling, planning, travel arrangements, execution, corrective action management, and client follow up
• Conduct witness interviews and be witnessed, surveillance audits, and supervision reviews by accreditation officers and other members of Eurofins, as needed
• Maintain accredited auditor status and achieve additional categories and scheme accreditations, as requested
• Maintain applicable professional development and training required for audit proficiency
• Maintain confidentiality and impartiality in all aspects of work and adhere to all procedures established by Eurofins and its auditing clients
• Understand and practice Eurofins quality manual, policy, procedures, and SOPs
• Ensure timeliness, consistency, and accuracy in all audits and audit reports, meet or exceed 3rd party auditor and scheme KPIs
• Attend annual informational meeting and monthly calibration meetings
• Conduct technical reviews of accredited audits, as requested
• Applies good practices in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision

• Advise on complex issues and make business decisions
• Lead and participate in Staff Meetings
