Join Octagon's luxury automotive golf team as a Trainee to assist in executing the client’s title sponsor event on the PGA TOUR. This temporary, full-time role involves on-site event management duties and day-to-day activities, offering exposure to large-scale sponsorship events. The position requires full-time hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays, and involves travel to the BMW Championship from August 7th to 20th. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports marketing and professional golf, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Location flexibility is offered, with a preference for hybrid work in Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL, Atlanta, GA, or Los Angeles, CA; remote work may be considered for qualified candidates with East Coast working hours.
Requirements
- A passion for sports marketing and professional golf
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive, dedicated attitude
- An ability to work effectively under pressure
- A team-player with effective communication skills
- Willingness and ability to work long hours, including weekends, must be available to work between August 7th -20th
- A rising Senior or recent college graduate
- Bachelor’s Degree with 0-1+ years of relevant experience
- A valid US driver’s license and clean driving record
- Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel level: Full time (75%-100%)
Responsibilities
- Travel to BMW Championship August 7th -20th to assist with onsite event preparation, operations, and execution
- Collaborate with tournament staff and other onsite vendors
- Execute onsite registration for attendees at activations
- Contribute to daily event set-up and breakdown
- Assist the vehicle logistics team with vehicle needs including the tournament courtesy fleet
- Represent and communicate aspects of the brand to event attendees
