Trainee Mechanic

Join our Trainee Mechanic Programme at AES (Aircraft Engineering Services Ltd) to learn essential skills and techniques required to build a new career within aviation. As part of our continuous growth plan, we are seeking to recruit Trainee Aircraft Mechanics for our 12-week training programme based at our industry-leading Prestwick Maintenance facility.

Requirements

• All candidates must have a clean criminal record
• Full Manual Driving Licence
• Have the unrestricted right to live & work in the UK with a valid passport
• GCSES in Maths/English at Level 4 or above
• Engineering Qualification (Desirable)
• Experience in a similar mechanical role such as a motor vehicle mechanic, electrician or fabricator (Desirable)
• Keen interest in Engineering
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (Essential)

Responsibilities

• Supervised scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance tasks on Ryanair’s Fleet of Boeing 737-800 and 737-8200 aircraft
• Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery support
• Base Husbandry and Housekeeping
• Maintaining a safe and compliant working environment, adhering to all company procedures, policies and regulations
• Any other tasks as directed by Supervisor / Manager
