Requirements

Eligible: You are a SQE qualification pathway candidate and you have successfully completed your SQE1 assessment

Responsibilities

  • Assist our growing number of clients with a varied range of commercial disputes
  • Provide oral and written advice to clients on a broad range of dispute matters
  • Advise clients on director and shareholder disputes such as breach of fiduciary duties and shareholder agreements, advising on strategies to remove directors and shareholders, preparing letters of claim and drafting settlement agreements
  • Advise clients on breach of contract claims across a wide range of industries
  • Prepare cease and desist letters in respect of IP infringement and responding to IP infringement claims
  • Prepare letters of claim for debt recovery and issuing proceedings
  • Advise employers on employment disputes, such as enforcement of restrictive covenants, breach of confidentiality, unfair or wrongful dismissal, discrimination and defending claims issued in the Employment Tribunal or High Court
  • Conduct legal research
  • Participate in role plays to improve your client service skills, or having a team lunch on the rooftop
