Summary
Join Middlebury College and support Professor Paul Hess's research by designing and running computer simulations of novel trap geometries. This part-time position is temporary, running from mid-April through early August 2025. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Physics, familiarity with trapped ion physics, and specialized programming skills, particularly Mathematica. Remote work is permitted from anywhere in the United States. As a Middlebury College employee, you'll be part of a supportive and learning-focused community.
Requirements
- Have a Bachelor's Degree with a major in Physics
- Be familiar with trapped ion physics
- Have experience with specialized programming skills
- Have familiarity with Mathematica programming language
