Tutor

Summary

Join TPAPT's team as a remote tutor providing academic support to K12 students in ELA and Math (grades 1-6). You'll work with small groups, helping students achieve their academic goals using our provided iXL online curriculum. We seek passionate educators with excellent communication skills who can adapt their teaching methods. The position offers a flexible schedule (10-15 hours/week during school days) with competitive pay ($14-$16/hr) and starts June 17, 2024. The role is remote, within the Eastern Time Zone of the United States.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Must be fluent in both English and Arabic
• PA certification in Elementary Education, Early Childhood, or Special Education
• Experience tutoring or teaching K12 students, preferably in a remote setting
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the subject matter being taught
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple students and assignments
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace

Responsibilities

• Conduct online instructional sessions for individuals or small groups using our curriculum
• Create engaging and interactive lesson plans based on students' individual needs
• Provide clear explanations and examples to help students understand difficult concepts
• Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain organized records of tutoring sessions and student progress
