Summary
The job is for a board-certified psychiatrist to provide virtual mental health care services to college students aged 18-25. The position involves direct care responsibilities such as conducting evaluations and medication management, collaborating with other team members, and providing supervision (optional). The ideal candidate has completed a US-based residency program, is licensed in TX, and has experience with tele-psychiatry and diverse patient groups.
Requirements
- You’ve completed a US-based residency program
- You’re a board certified MD or DO psychiatrist
- You’re licensed in TX, and ideally have multiple active state licenses or are willing to be cross-licensed (to states such as MA, NY, PA, FL)
- You have expertise in treating common mental health conditions among youth/college-aged students including depression, anxiety, and ADHD
- You understand culturally responsive treatment and have experience with diverse patient groups
- You have experience with tele-psychiatry and are equipped with the necessary technical tools for virtual care
- You are willing to work 8-20 hrs per week; more may be available if interested
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-quality, culturally competent virtual psychiatric evaluations and medication management appointments to young adults ages 18-25
- Engage with patients through our collaboration portal
- Document clinical encounters for effective care coordination
- Partner with other care team members including therapists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and our care operations team to support students
- Collaborate with campus care teams to create longer-term treatment plans when necessary
